Movie Marathon

In the Cronin home, we love to watch movies. Thing is, it takes us twice as long to watch one. It make for a fun experience and a very good excuse to watch it more than once.

We have this wonderful little 10 month old boy that runs around creating havoc. If it is not his idea to watch a movie, no one does. When one starts, we pause and rewind it frequently. "What did they say?" is usually the topic of the night. And when my precious Ryker falls asleep, it is time for mommy and daddy to go to bed too.

Ryker, you say, is an unusual name. It's a name of a prison in New York, called Rikers Island. There is however a prison in the X-Men movies called Ryker's Island. No, he was not named after a prison of any kind. We aren't so much the movie buff, but it was fun to learn about Ryker's name.

Every day after bath time, we pop in a movie. Two to three days of the week is actually the same one. Right now we are watching Paycheck, it seems to be good. Do I know what's going on? For the most part. It is day two and we are finally getting to the end.

Television shows are easier to watch. They are just the perfect time frame from bath time to bed time. Problem with shows, you want to keep watching more. We have to force ourselves to turn Bones off and go to bed.

So bring on the popcorn, snuggle with a blanket and my little man, and my night is made.
